We weren't going to be denied of our first championship...just look at the stats.
We finished the season on a 6 game win streak where we allowed only 8 goals and scored 46.  That's an average of 7.67 goals scored and only 1.33 goals against per game.
But that was really a microcosm of the entire season.  Including playoffs, we finished with a record of 8-2 while scoring 66 goals and allowing only 19 over the entire season, which is an average of 6.6 goals scored and 1.9 goals allowed per game.

And to come back and beat the Gallery (hated rivals) in the championship game after they beat us 4-0 and 4-3 earlier in the season in our only two matchups?  Still awesome after 11 years.

Am I living in the past?  Yup...and I don't care.
